The state takes few effective measures for fulfilling economic, social and cultural rights such as right to food, health, education, employment, housing, water and land of the poor people. Though the Bangladesh Constitution of 1972 incorporated universal human rights including right to shelter, employment, health, education and food for all citizens, still a number of people of Bangladesh go to bed hungry every single day.
